Elizabeth Handy was a true friend of Vita and the people of East Africa. She was generous with her skills, time and intellect and we are deeply saddened by her passing. Elizabeth and her husband Charles travelled to Ethiopia to view look at Vita projects a few years ago and the subsequent exhibition of Elizabeth's marvellous photos in Dublin Airport was opened by Uachtaráin na hÉireann Michael Higgins, and his wife Sabina. It was seen by over 100,000 people and told the wonderful story of the potato farmers and their families. Our condolences to Charles and the family at this sad time.
