|  | | Vita Eritrea – Capacity Building | | | Vita carry’s out all its work in Eritrea in partnership with other organisations. Key implementing partners include the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Energy, Local Governments, the National Union of Eritrean Women, and the communities themselves. Vita’s main role is in monitoring and evaluation and support to our partners. This ensures the sustainability of interventions by building local capacity and avoids duplication of structures to support the community.
For example in Hagaz in 2008 Vita supported the training of 17 members of the Ministry of Agriculture on general agriculture. 56 women farmers were also trained on goat and sheep production – feeds, feeding and disease prevention.
Vita also supported partners with computer equipment and accessories in 2008 to facilitate their work.
