The trees can be used as food, fuel, water purification, rope, soap and even medicine. The award-winning stove design reduces fuel consumption by 60% and eliminates smoke in the house. The project also helps the environment by offsetsing the equivalent of 5.5 tonnes of CO2 emmissions per household. | | | | |
| | | THE LATE BERNADETTE MCKENNA | | The Board and Staff of Vita mourned the passing of Bernadette McKenna, dearly loved long serving staff member and colleague. Bernadette was inspired by Vita's Founder Father Kevin Doheny to become our greatest fundraiser as well as the guardian of the values inherited by Father Norman Fitzgerald and Father Kevin. Bernadette was hugely devoted to the welfare of others and she will be sadly missed by everybody in Vita and all who had the privilege to know her.
Most especially all of our sympathies go to Bernadette's mother Mary, Sister Maura, great friend Pauline as well as to her family and friends.
May she rest in peace and may her special nature endure and inspire Vita's work.
