Vita is celebrating ten fantastic years of partnership with the Bank of Ireland Staff Fund. Over the last decade we have worked together to provide across various programmes such as water, potato projects, livestock projects and improved cook stoves, trees planting and much more- all aimed at creating sustainable livelihoods for rural families.
Our partnership and programmes have enabled 43,000 women and their families in Eritrea to build their own safer, cleaner cookstoves. The Bank of Ireland staff fund supports a weaving co.op in Dorze, employing close to 50 local men making it possible for them to stay with their families.
Bank of Ireland’s collaboration with Vita has also helped to establish other programmes such as solar lights which are cheap, clean and safe for families.
As a result of this incredible, dynamic, partnership over 200,000 people have seen their lives transformed because of the support and generosity of the staff of Bank of Ireland. So, on behalf of all in Vita – a big go raibh mile maith agat and bring on the next ten years!
